Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Eligibility Criteria


One of the key eligibility criteria to avail the Scholarship is that the student must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh (UP) or hold a domicile of UP. Before applying for UP Scholarship, candidates must check their eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria will vary from one scheme to another.

  • UP Pre-Matric Scholarship For ST/SC/General Category Students:

a) SC/ST/General category students of Class 9 and Class 10 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

b) The annual income of candidates’ families should not exceed INR 1 Lakh.

  • UP Post-Matric Intermediate Scholarship For ST/SC/General Category Students:

a) SC/ST/General category students of Class 11 and Class 12 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

b) The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 Lakh for General candidates.

c) The annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh for SC/ST candidates.

UP Post-Matric (Other Than Intermediate) Scholarship For ST, SC, General Category Students:

a) SC/ST/General category students from graduation, postgraduation, Ph.D., or higher level are eligible to avail of this scholarship.

b) The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 Lakh (for General candidates) and INR 2.5 Lakh (for SC/ST candidates) from all sources.

  • UP Post-Matric Other State Scholarship For ST, SC, General Category Students:

a) SC/ST/General category students who are studying in Class 11 or above are eligible to apply for this.

b) The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 Lakh for General candidates.

c) The annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh for SC/ST candidates.

a) Minority community students who are studying in Class 9 or Class 10 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
